Here’s something I’ve been remembering about myself lately:
I don’t need to soothe other people’s discomfort anymore.
For a long time, I thought leadership meant smoothing edges.
Making things easier to hear.
Softening truth so no one felt unsettled.
But growth isn’t comfortable.
Truth isn’t always tidy.
And evolution doesn’t ask for permission.
What I’ve learned is this:
Discomfort doesn’t mean danger.
It means something real is surfacing.
And when we rush to soothe it —
we often interrupt the very moment where clarity, confidence, and self-trust are forming.
